Kimono Photo Plan

I’m sure there are many of you that have been looking into renting a kimono during your visit to Japan. However, places like Asakusa charge around 5,000 JPY to 7,000 JPY. If that is a little more than you were looking to pay, look no further than the Ginza Core Tourist Information Center.

We have prepared a Kimono Photo Plan for a very low price. For just 2,160 JPY (tax included) you can wear a kimono or yukata of your choice and get 20 minutes to take photos. If you share a picture on social media, you can get 500 yen off!

Here are some more details:

  • Price: 2,160 JPY (2,000 yen + 8% tax)
  • 500 Yen discount for those who share on social media (price = 1,620 JPY)
  • Time for photos: 20 minutes, not including time to put on kimono
  • No time extensions allowed
  • No need for reservations
  • You can choose from kimono, yukata or long-sleeved kimono
  • No hair or makeup service
  • You can rent hair accessories and/or footwear
  • You have to purchase tabi (socks) separately- 734 JPY
  • Although you can wear the footwear without socks, it may be uncomfortable

2,160 yen really is an amazing price! It will be very hard to find something like this anywhere else.

However, because of the low price, we are unable to provide hair and makeup service and the time limit has to be a little strict.

We do provide someone to help wear the kimono and someone to come with you to take photos.

We will take you to a few nice places around Ginza to take beautiful pictures.

By the way, 2,160 JPY is already an amazing price but to get it even lower, all you have to do is upload a picture on your Facebook, Instagram, blog, etc.!

Just show your post to an employee at the Ginza Core TIC and you will receive a 500 yen discount.

If 20 minutes is too short, you can check out our Kimono Rental Plan!

    1. Hi Phoebe!
My colleague will be in touch with you shortly via email.
Typically the kimono is free size so I think there shouldn’t be any problem (but let’s hear from the pro!).
When do you plan to visit Japan?

Feel free to contact me again if you have other questions.
