One of the most romantic season has begun and some almost come to an end!!!

Not only Japanese people but many people around the world also waiting for this time of the year to spend their quality time with family and beloved one.

Many couples like to hold hands while strolling  around gorgeous illumination event. Last week, my friends and I just went to some events around Tokyo. So, we want to share our breathtaking experience with you.

If you are in Japan right now, you’d better to hurry up because some events will not last until next year (some will end on Christmas day).

Marunouchi Illumination 2016~2017: Nov 10 to Feb 19

Hours: 17:30~23:00  (1st Dec~28th Dec 2016 Lighting time is 17:30~24:00 )

Marunouchi Illumination at Marunouchi naka dori is well known as one of the most famous illumination spot in Tokyo.

On a cold day, these sparkling trees along the street that lights up for Christmas in classical style could make your heart feel warm without any reason!

Roppongi Hills Illumination 2016: Nov 14 to Dec 25

Too bad, this one was held until Christmas only.

I`m pretty sure you will fall in love with both side of the street while walking towards Tokyo Tower. For me, Roppongi Hills will always be my number one. Maybe next year…

The most popular photo spot ever…! From on the bridge, this is a great place to  enjoy your magical night with Tokyo Tower (Tokyo’s most famous landmarks) in the background.

Tokyo Midtown Illumination 2016: Nov 14 to Dec 25

Only 15 minutes walk from Roppongi Hills! This “strarlight graden” has become increasingly popular and attractive display among locals and tourists where everyone can enjoy light and sound show.

The highlight of Tokyo Midtown Illumination has to be “Starlight garden” as always. A “shooting star” performance  will show you how amazing it is when  beams of light shooting across the area like shooting stars. It is held every year, so don’t worry you still have a chance.

Hours: 5:00pm~ 11:00 pm (1st Jan~14th Feb 2017 Lighting time is 18:00~23:00 )

This is what I like about Japan…They could make this small space in front of Shiodome shopping center into the Valley of Blue Stars.

Tokyo Dome Illumination 2016~2017:Nov 10 to Feb 19

Normally,baseball games and various events such as concert are often held at Tokyo dome throughout the year. At the end of the year,the area around the dome will be decorated with Christmas lights that can attract many people to join in the Christmas season.

If you don’t like being in a crowd, Tokyo Dome Illumination would be a good choice. An amusement park is also located in this area. I would say don’t forget to ride on Thunder dolphin,the exciting hyper-roller-coaster jetting through the Big-O Ferris Wheel.

Actually, Shinjuku Terrace City Illumination is not so famous but if you plan to visit Shinjuku in Christmas season, this place could give you the Christmas feeling.

Odakyu department store’s walkway

Odakyu department store is directly connected to Shinjuku station (west exit). The walkway looks really amazing with pink lights.

Shibuya Ao no Dokutsu 2016~2017: Nov 22 to Jan 9

Hours: 5:00pm~ 11:00 pm

This year, dazzling blue illumination is held in Shibuya for the first time! The main area of illumination (in front of Yoyogi Park) is not too far from Shibuya station where you can walk within 10-15 minutes.

Japan’s Blue Grotto,”Ao no Dokutsu”covers the area from Shibuya station until the main area in front of Yoyogi park.

“Ao no Doukutsu”

For me,”Ao no Doukutsu”is the most elegant illumination I have ever seen.
