What comes first to your mind about Chiba prefecture?
I guess it must be Tokyo Disneyland isn’t it?
Today I am going to introduce Kisarazu, a place where can be reached from central Tokyo within 1 and a half hour..
To visit aquarium and an amusement park would be great, but don’ t you think it is also wonderful to stay in a Japanese style room with an ocean view and enjoy your relaxation time in yukata.
Now let me introduce Chiba Prefecture’s fascinating places where you can enjoy your time.
Let’s depart to Kisarazu.
If you have an international driving license and can drive a car in Japan, we recommend to rent a car. If you do not have a driving license, you can use a shuttle bus from Kawasaki station.
From Tokyo you can go directly to Kisarazu or have a break at Umihotaru in the middle of Tokyo Bay Aqua line.
If you cannot drive or doesn’t have an international driving license you can take a bus from Tokyo, Shinagawa and Shinjiku to Kisarazu.
Umihotaru is a service area (place to have a break along highways) built on the sea. There are good facilities for having meals or coffee and watch the ocean view while resting. This view is highly recommended.
The picture below taken from Umihotaru shows the way to Kisarazu, are you excited to pass this road?
After having enough time to rest, we moved to the hotel through the Tokyo Bay Aqua line.
I and my friends stayed at Mikazuki Ryugujo Spa Hotel.
If you use public transport, it is convenient to take a shuttle bus from Umihotaru to Kisarazu and from Kisarazu there is a free shuttle bus available to the hotel.
All rooms in this hotel face the ocean, so you can see Tokyo Bay from your room. There are indoor pool with water slide ,outdoor pool and onsen which is well-know as Japanese hot spring where you can enter with you swimwear.
Everyone, families or couples can have a wonderful time here. Besides, yukatas are available in every japanese style room, so you can spend your time in comfort.
A buffet-style meal is provided, you can enjoy all-you-can-eat crabs and sushi.
When your stomach is full, you may return to your room and have a rest.
Next day is a shopping day!
After check-out from the hotel, we moved toward to the largest outlet park, which can be reached within 10 minutes by car.
It is really an enormous place! It took me a half day to walk around…
Even in bad weather, you can enjoy your shopping indoors.
After I spent a lot of money,it’s time to go home.
If you have a chance to come to Japan don’t forget to visit Kisarazu!
