“Little Edo” Kawagoe 1 Day Tour
A while ago, when the cherry trees were still blooming, I spent one of my holidays in Kawagoe–a small town in the Saitama Prefecture. Though being near Tokyo, Kawagoe–often known as “Little Edo”–is a nostalgic town completely different from the urbanized Tokyo city. “Kamakura” is easily accessible just 1 hour from Shinjuku (Tokyo) using the JR Shonan Shinjuku Line. It has a traditional Japanese feel, so it is very much recommended.

In this article I’ll be taking you through a little walk through the streets of the Noboribetsu area in Hokkaido. Noboribetsu is famously known for its hot springs and is the other Onsen hot spot of Japan along with Hakone.
The hot springs here originate from an explosion crater in the area called “Jigokudani”, which literally translates to Hell Valley, and was believed to have been plagued by Japanese demons. Izu Inatori is a birthplace of “Hina no Tsurushi Kazari” ! This tradition of the Edo era, it used to be the replacement of Hina Dolls for common people.There are Peaches (longevity), Monkey (amulet), Triangle (medicine bags, incense bags) as a base, there are 50 kinds of work!
